KAMPONG THOM (Cambodia Herald) – Prime Minister Hun Sen said Wednesday that the Vietnam border issue was resolved in accordance with the wishes of King Father Norodom Sihanouk.
"What I did was just follow up on what remained from the King Father regarding both coastal and land border issues," he told a road inauguration ceremony.
"Opposition parties are hunting two birds, the government and the throne, with one stone," he said, highlighting his need to address the National Assembly Thursday.
"We've clarified border issues with Vietnam through documents but I will need more than four hours to make the oral presentation at the National Assembly.
"I worked last night to prepare the documents and didn't have dinner until nine o'clock," he said,
Hun Sen noted that opposition parties had "treated me as a traitor" and that they would be refusing to hear and see what he had to say if they walked out of Thursday's session.
